Purpose: Lead and mentor HR Advisers, Assistants, and Trainees. Support managers in achieving people management outcomes, manage casework, and drive organizational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice on employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and organizational design.
- Partner with senior managers to understand service challenges and proactively offer strategic HR solutions.
- Supervise and develop the HR advisory team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Design and implement HR interventions to build capacity and capability.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organizational policies.
- Handle complex casework and provide final advice on investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance issues.
- Conduct pre-employment checks and manage job evaluations.
- Deliver coaching and training sessions for managers to improve people management skills.
- Proactively address absenteeism through early intervention and application of procedures.
- Stay updated on employment law and best practices.
Requirements:
- Fully CIPD qualified.
- Experience in managing complex HR casework, including reorganizations and TUPE.
- Proven ability to work with management, employees, and trade unions to improve service delivery.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
